The candidate will manage a team of engineers and technicians, oversee equipment and process performance, set technical objectives and lead
projects that supports business growth. The engineering manager’s responsibilities include employee safety, environmental compliance, meeting quality targets, and communicating with customers.Main ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.Lead teams in the development of new products and manufacturing solutions including validation and qualification of processes.Oversees project progress and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes
and reduce waste in operations.Develops and oversees the equipment maintenance strategies that ensure equipment remains in optimal condition and operates as intended.Lead the engineering team on investigation, corrective and preventive actions when any issue arises.Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments for operations efficiency and business sustainability.Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.Communicates technical information to
non-technical stakeholders, including top management and customers.Ensures that processes meet quality, safety and medical compliance guidelines at all times.Collaborate with quality and operations head and project manager to meet customer quality requirements and productivity targets.Set strategic goals and objectives for the engineering team to align with business targets. Monitor performance, facilitate teamwork and strategize talent management activities.Job Requirements & QualificationMinimum 10 years’ experience in metal stamping, forming and drawingExperience in vertical and horizontal molding (Preferred)Engineering degree
with a minimum of 5 years’ management experience in the Design and Development of custom products in a regulated environment (Medical Preferred)Strong understanding of 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred)Strong problem solving and analytical skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectTechnical understanding Metal stamping, drawing and injection molding processesStrong communication and presentation skillsAdditional DetailsExperience in Medical Device, Pharma and/or Food manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
